Permaculture Courses

The PRI is renowned for producing highly active and effective students and teachers. Through the initial establishment of Permaculture by Bill Mollison the PDC is a pre-requisite to obtain your Diploma through the Permaculture Institute.

As part of our PDC students are invited to bring details of their own property, potential property....etc to design a site specific Permaculture system.

Join international Permaculture designer and teacher, Andrew Jones on the beautiful Island of Molokai, Hawaii for the Permaculture Design Certification Course (PDC). The PDC is an internationally-recognized seventy-two hour course resulting in a Permaculture Design Certificate. It provides an introduction to Permaculture design, as set forth by founder Bill Mollison. PDC curriculum is based on Mollison's textbook, "Permaculture: A Designers' Manual". The PDC serves as a foundation for further work and courses in Permaculture.

The Permaculture Design Certificate course is an internationally-recognized, seventy-two hour course resulting in a Permaculture Design Certificate. It provides an introduction to permaculture design as set forth by movement founder Bill Mollison.The proceeds of this course will help subsidise the education of local Jordanians, and also go towards the sending of a local representative body to the International Permaculture Convergence Summit of 2009 held in Southern Africa. Among the goals of this trip will be to lobby for the International Permaculture Convergence of 2011 to be held in Jordan with the theme of conflict resolution through sustainable community solutions.

In 5 days, you will learn the basic theory and practice of Permaculture Earthworks, including site design, survey and directing earth moving machines to establish dams, swales, terraces, etc. This course will blend theory with hands-on practical application on a site on Molokai's drought-prone west side.
